New Refit & Repair area comprises 21 stands

Organizers of the Palma Superyacht Show have announced the addition of a Refit & Repair area to this year’s event. The new B2B space aims to mirror the island’s thriving big-boat maintenance business.

The Refit & Repair area will see a heavy focus on industry professionals and will consist of 21 fully-equipped three-by-three metre stands.
This area will be complemented by the Captain’s Corner featuring a bar and a large tent where pioneering presentations, seminars and product launches will take place. Companies keen to utilise this space are advised to get in touch with the event organiser as there are only a few slots available.

According to Jane Thompson, the event coordinator, 98% of shore-side exhibitor stand space was already snapped up last year by key players in the large superyacht sector. Thompson also notes that nearly 85% of exhibitors (60 in total) are returning participants.
Astilleros de Mallorca, a yard that refits and repairs more than 120 yachts annually and celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, will be exhibiting at the show. The firm has been taking part of the event since the very beginning.

Superyacht finishers Nautipaints is also long-term exhibitors. Company CEO Toni Salom comments: “We are delighted to be exhibiting at the show for the fourth consecutive year, and return for this 2017 edition with our largest stand to date. In our opinion the show has the best infrastructure in the Mediterranean, not to mention an unrivalled networking service within our home city of Palma.”

Nautor Swan Service Centre and the Palma-based Crew & Concierge are two companies exhibiting for the first time at the show.
Running to its 5th edition, the Palma Superyacht Show prepares to have a line-up of more than 70 superyachts. From 60m motoryachts to light-weight performance cruisers, all yachts on display will be immediately available for charter or sale.

Amongst the vessels available is the 34m sailing yacht SELJM. Built by Sangermani in Italy, she was delivered to her owner in 1980 and last refitted in 2010.

Also on display is the 59m yacht MAYBE, built by MetalSHIPS & Docks, she is the largest yacht to have ever been built and designed in Spain. MAYBE was launched last year.
