Palma Cemetery opens its doors at night.
‘Al Cementeri nit’ is a show directed by writer Carlos Garrido.(in Spanish and Catalan)
The cemetery is lit by candlelight. A mysterious woman, black and long robes, leads to the public between the graves, aided by a torch. At each of the stops, Carlos Garrido tells stories related to the exhibition, often unknown and always full of great poetic force. An actor gives life to different voices, in one way or another, interact with the cemetery. Several musicians also perform works and songs along the way. During the itinerary, sculptures of renowned authors like John Grauches, Miquel Arcas and Tomás Vila visited. In addition, historical events are reviewed, as the execution of republican prisoners. The cemetery becomes a unique space to reflect on the passing of generations, life and death.
