St John the Baptist’s saints day is celebrated all across Mallorca. Head down to any beach and you will find revellers, dressed in white enjoying each other company and getting their feet wet. If you’re in Palma head down to Parc de la Mar at 22.00 where the city celebrates with a Correfoc (literally fire run). Be sure to wear long sleeved tops and a hat.
It is also the special Saint’s day of Son Servera and Deia, both of which have activities beyond the night itself:
Son Servera celebrates its patron Saint with lots of activities including one of the only days camping on the beach is actually legal!
