”The Islander” magazine is THE only monthly English language, dedicated yachting publication, providing news and information for the yachting industry in the entire Western Mediterranean region. We have a staggering distribution of 6,000 copies and also a regularly viewed website, facebook page and Twitter account (@islandermag)
The magazine was founded in 1997, in Palma de Mallorca, initially as a newsletter for the nautical industry. Palma is still the home of The Islander, but it has since grown into an 80 page, full colour, quality magazine, often referred to as “The Bible”.
We now include relevant industry news as well as regatta reports for both modern and classic yachts, articles on marine conservation, cutting edge technology, legal and taxation matters, financial advice, cookery tips, professional yacht racing, diving safety, medical matters, Yacht and Captain, SUP ( stand up paddleboarding), local yacht club race reports plus much, much, more and growing…
The Islander is distributed throughout the Western Med, by our own dedicated team of distributors, thus eliminating any wastage. We also include articles of interest from the regions, thus widening the appeal for both readers and advertisers .The Islander actively supports, appears and distributes copies at the most of the major yachting events in the Western Med as can be seen from the list.
