As many of you know, I formally ended my professional relationship with Camper & Nicholsons International in Spain at the end of September 2018. I had worked for, in association with, or as a sort of franchisee of C&N for 33 years.
It has been a mostly enjoyable, interesting and worthwhile journey which I will cherish forever despite its many ups and downs, different styles of management over the years, and some rather colorful shareholders.
Although leaving C&N has been a hard decision to make, it was time to move on and to also try to push an impressive and much needed superyacht marina project in Palma, with which my company, Hamilton Connections S.L., is closely involved.
Hamilton Marine is the original name of the company that I set up in 1996, and its current mission is to offer personalized brokerage and international yachting consultancy services to clients and companies that may want to benefit from my knowledge, contacts and expertise of over 35 years in the broader yachting industry.
Not only did I run the brokerage and charter activities of C&N in Spain for over 20 years, but I was also involved in many other aspects of the business from the lobbying of politicians in Mallorca and Madrid to improve superyacht chartering in Spain via my vice presidency of the Spanish Large Yacht Association, AEGY, for nine years, to classic yacht regatta organisation and marina and superyacht event management including the development and running of the Valencia Superyacht Marina during the 2007 Americas Cup.
Yachting should be fun! Buying, selling and operating yachts should be as painless a process as possible, and I am available to assist newcomers, and existing clients in making that possible.
